The new building of Chueh-sheng memorial Library was formally inaugurated in September of 1996 at a cost of over NT$1 billion. It is one of the largest and most modern libraries on the island of Taiwan. Not only is the Chueh-sheng Memorial Library aesthetically beautiful, but it is thoroughly automated, allowing instant retrieval of information from in-house data bases and the World wide web. The Chueh-sheng memorial Library has over 760,000 volumes, 4000 titles of periodicals, and nearly 100,000 items of non-book materials, over 2800 seats, 1400 computer hookups, and 84 individual study carrels.

In addition to the main computing center of the University catering to the needs of the faculty members and students, the department has its own computer facilities, information rooms, and study rooms. Currently, the department has two copiers, one fax machine, twelve projectors, two screens, four notebooks, twenty-five Pentium III computers, four scanners, and eighteen laser printers. They are placed among the departmental office, faculty offices, and study rooms for the convenience of both faculty members and students. Theses and dissertations are collected in the information room for students' references. Two study rooms equipped with computers are provided for graduate students to do individual research or group projects.
